PURSUE — Presidential Unsealing and Reporting System for UAP Encounters
Also known as PURSUE
PURSUE, the Presidential Unsealing and Reporting System for UAP Encounters, is the U.S. government's public release of declassified UAP files. It follows a directive from President Trump on 19 February 2026 ordering the Secretary of War and other agencies to identify and release government files on UAP, UFOs and extraterrestrial life.
The Department of War, supported by the ODNI, publishes records in tranches every few weeks on war.gov/UFO, starting on 8 May 2026. The records are unresolved cases: incidents for which the government could not make a definitive determination about what was observed. They come from the Department of War, the FBI, NASA, the CIA, the State Department and others, and every record is mirrored in this archive's Index with links to the official files.
