Incident · 16 October 2020 – 2025 · Djibouti and the USAFRICOM area of responsibility
U.S. military UAP reports in the AFRICOM area (2020–2025)
Also known as Djibouti UAP, AFRICOM UAP
The U.S. Africa Command area contributes only a few records to the PURSUE releases: three brief infrared clips in which a point of contrast crosses the sensor's view. Two, dated 16 and 18 October 2020, come from the collection AARO found on a classified network, where chain of custody is often unestablished; the third, two seconds long, was submitted by AFRICOM from Djibouti in 2025 with no description from the reporter.
A mission report titled "Djibouti, 2025" (DOW-UAP-D008), describing two "white hot" UAP at about 240 knots, is not included here: its grid reference places the sighting in the eastern Mediterranean north of Egypt, as the catalog's own location says.
