Disclosure Forum 2026
An all-day public forum on UAP transparency held on 25 June 2026 in the Senate's Kennedy Caucus Room and organized by the Disclosure Foundation (formerly the UAP Disclosure Fund). Speakers included members of Congress, former officials, scientists and whistleblowers.
The national security panel, recorded and published by the Foundation in August 2026, discussed the Langley drone incursions, UAP around ships and test ranges, special access program oversight, whistleblower protections and the PURSUE releases.

Key moments: UAP & National Security: Mellon, Gallaudet, von Rennenkampff & McConnell at Disclosure Forum 2026
- 0:29 Chris Mellon: Mellon on Langley: his understanding is that when officials briefed Congress they said they had no video of the objects, although the incursions went on for 17 days.
- 7:24 Kirk McConnell: McConnell says he thinks the black triangles seen near bases are “probably ours”, citing accounts from Eglin and Langley, including Dylan Borland's sighting.
- 9:26 Marik von Rennenkampff: Von Rennenkampff: the Langley objects showed bright flashing lights for 17 nights, which the Air Combat Command commander called “close encounters at Langley”; he argues that is not how espionage is done.
- 9:34 Marik von Rennenkampff: Von Rennenkampff relays former NORAD commander Gen. Glen VanHerck's statement on 60 Minutes that they tried to jam the Langley objects and failed.
- 10:49 Marik von Rennenkampff: Von Rennenkampff: Wright-Patterson AFB was shut down in 2024 because of drone activity, with 15 to 30 objects on radar according to FOIA records.
- 35:38 Chris Mellon: Mellon: he sat on the Defense Department committee that reviews all special access programs and reports them to Congress, and “never saw anything related to UAP”, though workarounds such as alternative compensatory control measures exist.
- 36:23 Chris Mellon: Mellon: people who think the government can't keep a secret are wrong; of hundreds of SAPs he knew, none leaked except one used in combat.
- 37:15 Chris Mellon: Mellon: one of the main crash-retrieval sources he first brought to Congress in 2019 said the program was closed because it was making no headway and spending a lot of money.
- 55:31 Chris Mellon: Mellon: “nobody has ever been prosecuted for bringing classified information to Congress” in a secure setting; the Disclosure Foundation offers free legal advice to potential whistleblowers.
- 1:07:23 Marik von Rennenkampff: Von Rennenkampff on PURSUE: six law enforcement officers saw fiery reddish orbs at western test ranges in 2023, and in late 2025 senior intelligence officials in a helicopter saw reddish-orange orbs; the government released 32 infrared images.
- 1:09:14 Marik von Rennenkampff: Von Rennenkampff: the oldest PURSUE documents, from 1944–45, describe the same fiery-orb morphology as recent cases, as do Blue Book reports including the 1952 Washington sightings; he calls the releases a form of soft disclosure.
- 1:12:59 Chris Mellon: Mellon: he has helped Rep. Eric Burlison compile lists of specific UAP videos, and has seen some in classified settings that he thinks would “move the needle”.
- 1:14:54 Marik von Rennenkampff: Von Rennenkampff relays that Tim Phillips, former acting director of AARO, said the two morphologies that perplexed him were fiery spheres and black triangles.
- 1:17:19 Marik von Rennenkampff: Von Rennenkampff says his analysis with citizen scientists reconstructs the Gimbal object's 3D flight path with high confidence that it was at the close range the aircrew described; AARO has issued no case resolution.
- 1:18:44 Marik von Rennenkampff: Von Rennenkampff: Sean Kirkpatrick twice told him the Gimbal object was a balloon reflecting sunlight, which he disputes because it was night and the aircrew described it moving against 120-knot winds.
- 1:21:26 Kirk McConnell: McConnell: the Tic Tac case convinced him, after he sat down with David Fravor and Alex Dietrich: multiple witnesses, radar from the E-2C, the Aegis cruiser and an F/A-18, and infrared.
- 1:23:32 Tim Gallaudet: Gallaudet: Sean Kirkpatrick recently said in person in Arlington that the Tic Tac was a DARPA experiment, a narrative Gallaudet rejects.
- 1:26:30 Marik von Rennenkampff: Von Rennenkampff keeps a 5–10% possibility that the Tic Tac was U.S. technology, because Fravor and Dietrich recall pitot-tube-like protrusions in the higher-quality video.
- 1:27:58 Chris Mellon: Mellon's origin story: doing unpaid consulting for Navy intelligence, he met Luis Elizondo, who told him about the Navy videos, and was struck that nobody was acting.
- 1:28:50 Chris Mellon: Mellon: he arranged Navy pilot briefings for people close to Defense Secretary Mattis; after months without action, he chose to go to the press and Congress.
- 1:30:18 Chris Mellon: Mellon: The New York Times, through Helene Cooper and Leslie Kean, ran the story; when the committees did not react, he called Kirk McConnell, who set up the meetings that brought in Navy witnesses.
