Incident · 9 June 2021 – 2025 · East China Sea, Yellow Sea and South China Sea
U.S. military UAP reports over East Asian seas (2021–2025)
Also known as East China Sea UAP, INDOPACOM UAP, Yellow Sea UAP
The clearest official evidence of UAP activity around China, Japan and Korea comes not from those governments but from U.S. military sensors operating in the region. Open each linked record for the official description.
Most are short infrared videos that AARO describes only as an “area of contrast” tracked by the sensor, with no assessment. Some came from user-uploaded clips on a classified network, found in answer to a 2026 congressional request. Kevin Campbell, a former DISA contractor who monitored the drone feeds, describes small spheres skimming the water there in 2023–24 and believes one of his sightings is among the requested videos; no record confirms which.

Facts and claims
- documented The Department of War's PURSUE releases include eighteen records of unresolved U.S. military UAP reports (two of them the same video) from INDOPACOM, over the East China Sea, Yellow Sea and South China Sea and near Japan, dated 2021 to 2025 and mostly sensor video. - documented Several of these videos were released in answer to a House request: AARO dates it to 6 March 2026 and describes it as from eight members asking for 51 potentially UAP-related records, while the letter the Oversight Committee published is dated 31 March 2026, signed by Anna Paulina Luna alone and lists 46 items, among them “22. MQ-9 observer UAP in East China Sea, 1/5/23” and “24. EP-3 Observed UAP in the ECS, 6/9/21”. AARO says it found the responsive material “held on a classified network” and that “Many of these materials lack a substantiated chain-of-custody”; PR057a and PR057b are the same Yellow Sea video of January 2023, uploaded by two users under different titles, one in June 2024. - documented In the 2023 Yellow Sea report PR100, the sensor tracks an object in infrared, switches for a few seconds to its daytime camera, which shows “a dark object superimposed against a blue background”, and then loses it in infrared. - claimed Kevin Campbell, a former Defense Information Systems Agency contractor who monitored drone feeds from Hill AFB, says he saw three such events on MQ-9 feeds over the East China Sea and Yellow Sea around 2023–24, small spheres a few feet above the water, one watched live, and that he is “99% sure” one is among the videos members of Congress requested; he does not say which, and no record confirms it. — Kevin Campbell Source: Former DISA contractor Kevin Campbell: UAP seen live on MQ-9 feeds over East Asian seas (Americans for Safe Aerospace, 2026) at 42:53
