House Oversight Task Force letter requesting UAP videos from the Department of War (31 March 2026)

The letter in which Rep. Anna Paulina Luna, chair of the House Oversight Committee's Task Force on the Declassification of Federal Secrets, asked the Secretary of War on 31 March 2026 for 46 UAP video items that whistleblowers had told the Task Force AARO held, with a deadline of 14 April 2026. The items are listed by their uploader titles, call signs and dates: drone and aircraft clips from the Persian Gulf, Iran, Syria, Afghanistan, the East China Sea, the U.S. East Coast, Lake Huron and elsewhere.
The Department of War released them in its second PURSUE release on 22 May 2026, in the letter's own order. AARO's descriptions of that release date the request to 6 March 2026 and attribute it to eight members of the House, which does not match the published letter. - documented The letter, dated March 31, 2026 and addressed to Secretary of War Pete Hegseth, is signed by Rep. Anna Paulina Luna as Chairwoman of the Task Force on the Declassification of Federal Secrets, with a copy to Ranking Member Jasmine Crockett. It says “Whistleblowers informed the Task Force that AARO possesses additional video records of potential UAP sightings” and asks for 46 listed items “as soon as possible but no later than April 14, 2026”. Item 8 (“Spherical UAP in clouds”) and item 22 (the MQ-9 in the East China Sea, 1/5/23) correspond to PR057a and PR057b; AARO's description of PR057b gives its uploader title as “Spherical UAP in clouds”, a video from the Yellow Sea in January 2023. - documented AARO's descriptions of those records say instead that “On March 6, 2026, eight members of the U.S. House of Representatives requested access to 51 potentially UAP-related records”. The published letter is dated March 31, 2026 and signed by Luna alone; whether AARO refers to another, unpublished request or misdates this one is not known.
