Jacques Vallée is a French-born computer scientist (born 1939) with a PhD from Northwestern University, a venture capitalist, engineer and author who has studied UFOs since the 1960s.
The Stanford immunologist Garry Nolan credits him with the idea that the absurd elements of encounters may be a deliberate show aimed at humanity, and with the rule of talking about data rather than conclusions.
