UFO Contact at Pascagoula
Charles Hickson and William Mendez · Self-published (Charles Hickson) · 274 pages · ISBN 978-0-9608558-6-5
UFO Contact at Pascagoula (1983) is Charles Hickson's own account, written with William Mendez, of the night of 11 October 1973, when he and the young Calvin Parker said they were taken aboard a craft by three creatures with pincer-like hands while fishing on the Pascagoula River in Mississippi. It follows the case from the police station, where officers secretly recorded the two men talking alone, through the press attention, J. Allen Hynek's interview and the polygraph test, to the further contacts Hickson said he had later.
The original encounter has supporters, including Hynek, who thought the men had experienced something real; sceptics point out that the polygraph examiner was not fully qualified and that Hickson's later accounts grew. The book is his testimony.
