Glimpses
Man had just come face to face with beings from another world
brilliant covering-up by the entire American government
Crash at Corona (Paragon House, 1992), by the nuclear physicist Stanton Friedman and the aviation writer Don Berliner, is Friedman's account of the 1947 Roswell case, which he had reopened in 1978 by finding Maj. Jesse Marcel. The title reflects the authors' view that the craft came down nearer Corona than Roswell, and the book argues that the military recovered a crashed extraterrestrial craft and its occupants and then covered it up, drawing on witness interviews and on the MJ-12 papers, which Friedman defended.
The Air Force's 1994–97 reports attributed the debris to Project Mogul balloons and the stories of bodies to later events and test dummies; the MJ-12 papers are widely regarded as forgeries. The book is the authors' research and interpretation.
