Jared Moskowitz is a Democratic U.S. Representative from Florida and a member of the House Oversight Committee. He is the most persistent Democratic voice in the House for UAP transparency, and frames the issue as government honesty rather than belief.
At the July 2023 hearing, closing his opening statement, he challenged military leaders to let Congress into Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Dugway Proving Ground or Groom Lake if they have nothing to hide. In November 2024 he pointed to the 171 uncharacterized cases in AARO's report as "a nice way of saying we do not want to tell you what they are". On Luis Elizondo's crash-retrieval non-disclosure document, he remarked that "you cannot talk about fight club if there is no fight club". He also questioned the witnesses at the September 2025 whistleblower hearing.
His position is consistent. He says he does not know the truth about UAP, but that "we are definitely being lied to", a line he repeated at the bipartisan Capitol Hill press conference of June 2026, where he said agencies had fought to remove UAP language from legislation.
