Haim Eshed's “Galactic Federation” interview

In December 2020, Haim Eshed, the retired general who led Israel's space-security programme for nearly three decades, told the newspaper Yediot Aharonot that the U.S. government had for years been in contact with extraterrestrials of a "Galactic Federation", under agreements allowing experiments on Earth, and that there was a joint underground base on Mars with American astronauts. He said President Trump knew and had been "on the verge" of revealing it.
The claims, made while promoting his book The Universe Beyond the Horizon, drew international headlines and scepticism. Israel Space Agency chairman Isaac Ben-Israel said Eshed had gone "too far", and NASA said it had yet to find signs of extraterrestrial life.
