4:06 her bedroom and her mom was telling her you know you got to you can't see Steve no more they're they're they think they killed Travis I mean everybody in that town thought we murdered him when I went out to help search for Travis they they split us up into groups you know individuals you know each person was with a different group and each I believe each group had a deputy sheriff with them and the whole time I'm out there trying to find Travis that Deputy has just kept telling asking me you know watch us tell us where the body is you know and we can all go home you know guys you know we know you did this you know and it was no UFO with the law enforcement it was just trying to get us to own up to something we hadn't done this was just the beginning for the remaining eyewitnesses local law enforcement wanted to subject them to a polygraph test they asked us questions if we if we killed Travis if I knew anybody who did body harm to him um if I killed Travis or they asked if we actually seen a UFO I think they were

5:07 trying to trick us cuz they still even when we passed it I don't believe they believed it even after passing the polygraph test the lives of these men have continually been harassed when I left that area it was because of the accusations and the doubt you know I'm people accusing us first it was murder then it was a hoax in the aftermath of this people were just desperate to explain away any way they could and they just launch Theory after Theory you know first you know thing right off the bat the knee-jerk thing was well these guys are drunk or high on drugs newspapers were were just tacking me everywhere I went even at the hospital they were there they wouldn't leave me alone newspaper and television reporters continually sought them out and made their lives difficult while UFO skeptic Philip class persistently pressured Steve I just got married and uh a cop came to the door and said I I'll give uh 10 uh Philip's class said he' give you $110,000 if you say it's a hoax you know so he left I just blew it off
