Robert Emenegger
Also known as Emenegger, Bob Emenegger
- Filmmaker, writer and composer; vice president at Grey Advertising in 1973; writer of the 1974 documentary UFOs: Past, Present, and Future
Robert Emenegger is a writer, composer and filmmaker. In the early 1970s, by his account while a vice president at Grey Advertising, he and the producer Allan Sandler developed a documentary on UFOs with the cooperation of officials at Norton Air Force Base, California; sources disagree on who commissioned it. The result, UFOs: Past, Present, and Future (1974), which he wrote and scored, was narrated by Rod Serling and featured former Project Blue Book officers.
Emenegger says he was promised Air Force footage of a craft landing at Holloman Air Force Base as the film's finale, and that it was withdrawn at the last minute; the film shows a dramatised version instead. He told the story with Paul Shartle on live television in 1988. The film is based on his book of the same name.
