Person
Paul Shartle
Also known as Shartle
- Former security manager and chief of requirements for the audiovisual program, Norton Air Force Base, California
Paul Shartle worked at Norton Air Force Base, California, where he was security manager and chief of requirements for its audiovisual program. In 1973 he met the filmmakers Robert Emenegger and Allan Sandler, who were developing a documentary with the base's cooperation, and, by their account, told them of a film of a craft landing at Holloman Air Force Base.
On the live television special UFO Cover-Up?: Live! in October 1988 he described the film himself: three craft, one landing on three pods, three occupants and a meeting with the base commander. He said he had been told it was theatrical footage bought for a training film, which he did not believe since it was his job to record all audiovisual purchases. No such film has surfaced.
