SRI International, formerly the Stanford Research Institute, is a non-profit research institute in Menlo Park, California. From 1972 its physicists Harold Puthoff and Russell Targ ran the government-funded remote-viewing experiments, with subjects such as Ingo Swann, that grew into the Stargate programme.
