A clear case where an insider's account and the official finding disagree. Puthoff stresses the unexplained manufacture; AARO says the material is ordinary, possibly USAF, alloy. Both accounts agree there is no non-terrestrial isotope signature.
Facts and claims
- claimed Hal Puthoff says the layered sample came from a man whose grandfather allegedly picked up Roswell debris. It went to Art Bell and then Linda Moulton Howe, and was analysed at Oak Ridge through a U.S. Army contract and AARO. - documented AARO and a leading science laboratory found the material “a metallic alloy, terrestrial in nature, and possibly of USAF origin”, and that the bismuth “was not a pure layer per initial claims”. AARO says a separate private sector organisation's recreation of the sample “was almost certainly conflated” with claims that the aerospace industry was reverse-engineering off-world technology.
