Glimpses

Since the first night of contact on that December night in 1980. Two questions were immediate to me. Who are they? And where do they come from?

The Rendlesham Enigma, Book 1: Timeline (2019) is Jim Penniston's own long account of the December 1980 Rendlesham Forest incident, written with the researcher Gary Osborn and self-published at more than 700 pages. Penniston, then a staff sergeant in the Security Police at RAF Woodbridge, led the patrol that went into the forest and is the only witness who says he touched a craft.

The book follows his story from that night through the decades that followed, including the binary sequence he says he received from the craft. Osborn has since discussed readings of the code's numbers as map coordinates. These interpretations are the authors' own; no other witness corroborates the binary episode, which does not appear in Penniston's early statements.
