Left at East Gate (1997) is Larry Warren's first-hand account of the Rendlesham Forest incident, written with the investigator Peter Robbins. Warren, then a young security policeman at RAF Bentwaters, says he was driven out to a field near the forest with other airmen, saw an object on the ground and figures near it, and was afterwards debriefed, threatened and told never to speak of it. The book presents this as evidence of a cover-up by the U.S. and British authorities.

It is the most contested of the Rendlesham accounts. Warren's version differs from those of the other base personnel, Lt. Col. Charles Halt says Warren was not with his party, and Robbins later disowned the account after concluding that Warren had misled him. Warren's story is also the centrepiece of the documentary Capel Green.
