Glimpses
Success requires that the spirit of our endeavor be one of scientific openness, the search for truth, altruism, selflessness, harmlessness and non-covetousness.
In this regard, it is likely that a novice possessed of noble intentions and equipped with only a flashlight would meet (has met?) with greater success than a governmental agency motivated by lesser intentions, even though it has advanced technology, personnel and billions of dollars at its disposal.
Extraterrestrial Contact (Crossing Point, 1999) is Steven Greer's first book, a collection of his essays and talks from the 1990s on the work of his Center for the Study of Extraterrestrial Intelligence (CSETI): his "CE-5" field expeditions to signal and invite contact with extraterrestrials, his campaign to brief officials, and his argument that governments are hiding contact and advanced energy technology. It is the foundation of the movement he went on to lead with the Disclosure Project.
The book is Greer's own account and advocacy. His claims of contact, of briefing senior officials and of suppressed technology have no independent confirmation, and critics, including former associates, have challenged his CE-5 claims and his films. Greer is filed outside this archive's criteria.
