Parker interviewed on stage by Alejandro Rojas, with audience questions, after breaking decades of silence with his 2018 book.
Key moments
- 0:00 Calvin Parker: Parker, then 18, says Charles Hickson, 42, gave him a job at the Pascagoula shipyard. After his first day at work they went fishing.
- 3:00 Calvin Parker: Hazy blue lights behind them, then a blinding light. Three "robotic-looking" beings with crab-like hands floated over and took hold of both men.
- 4:49 Calvin Parker: He says he felt an injection in his left arm that numbed him, and was floated into a craft lit from the walls themselves.
- 6:24 Calvin Parker: He describes a humanlike "female" being who pushed two long fingers down his throat until his nose bled, and told him telepathically: "We're not going to harm you."
- 15:27 Calvin Parker: Left alone together at the sheriff's office, the two were secretly recorded. Parker says the sheriff came back after hearing the tape and treated them differently.
- 18:50 Calvin Parker: He says they were checked at Jackson County Hospital and then at Keesler AFB, where men in hazmat suits scanned them for radiation before a room of base officials, police and Gulf Coast mayors questioned them.
- 25:27 Calvin Parker: J. Allen Hynek and James Harder flew down the next day. Parker recalls Hynek saying something traumatic had really happened to the two men.
- 1:03:06 Calvin Parker: He says hospital blood work showed he had been tranquilised, and that the examining doctor, still alive at 96, has documentation, though Katrina destroyed other records.
- 1:05:15 Calvin Parker: He says witness Maria Blair, traced by Philip Mantle, and seven more people have come forward. One woman across the river says she saw the craft land.

0:00 So I am here with Calvin Parker, and we're going to be talking about his incredible experience, the Pascagoula incident, and yes, the first question, it all started with your friend Charles Hickson getting you a job. Yeah, actually, Charlie wasn't a friend. He was like a, he was a lot older than I was. He was 42 years old. I was 18 years old, and I was working in the oil field, and this thing sounds terrible. Turn it down just a little. All right, I was working in the oil field seven days a week, 16 hours a day. I was going to get married the next month, so I called Charlie up. Daddy said to call Charlie and ask him for a job, and he'd give me a real reasonable job, which I like working. So anyhow, he said, come on down, and we will, I got an opening for a ship fitter and a welder. So you come to the Mississippi Gulf Coast to Pascagoula. We'll go to work at the shipyard.
1:00 So I did. I went down that night, and to make a long story short, my job lasted one day. I got hired, fired, and took a physical all in the same day. And I'll get into that in a little bit. Right, and well, what had happened, which I know one of your favorite pastimes is fishing. I've talked to you, and you've shared that with me quite a bit. So after work, your first day at the job, you decided to go. You and Charlie decided to go fishing, and that's when all the weirdness happened. That's exactly when it happened. We had worked all day long, got off, and it was hot. Well, nobody feels like going straight home when you get off work, you know. So he wanted to go cool down. He said, Calvin, let's go fishing. I said, sure, that sounds good to me. Charlie, I didn't bring no fishing equipment with me. He said, that's fine. Let's go by the house and pick mine up. Now, in the south, that's a mortal sin to use somebody else's fishing equipment. But I agreed to for that one day.
2:00 So we went by and picked up the fishing equipment, and that's where we started. We got in the car, and we rode down to what they call the Shaw Peter Shipyard in Paspergoula. And it was an old abandoned shipyard. And when you pull up and just look at it, you'd say, gosh, these people don't care what their shipyard looks like or nothing, because it was a mess. But Charlie later explained to me on the way, while we was trying to work our way down to the fishing pier, what happened. We get floodwaters on the Paspergoula River, and the water will come up, and it brings all this trash in. And then when it goes out, it leaves it where it was. And this was a mess right there. And this part's important, you know, during the story. It tells about the no trespassing signs and all that we had seen, and explains a little of why, you know, I was kind of afraid when this first happened. But when this happened, we made it down to
3:03 the river, and as we was fishing, we got casted out river. But we noticed some blue, hazy lights coming from behind us. And I thought, now, I read the no trespassing sign. Did this idiot bring me down here knowing we was going to jail tonight? And I thought, yeah, that's where I'm headed. So I said, Charlie, the law's back there. Are they fixing to get us? So we both stood up about the same time and turned around. Gosh, I wish it had been the law. I mean, it was scary. Then that's when a bright light all of a sudden just appeared out of nowhere. It was so bright it was blinding. And apparently this is where them three robotic-looking creatures came out of to pick us up. Now, I didn't notice them to start with because the light was bright, and it was just slamming my eyes, and my eyes was hurting. But three of them floated across the top of
4:05 the grass, and they came over, and two of them got a hold of Charlie, and one got a hold of myself. While I was trying to get behind Charlie after seeing that, there wasn't nowhere to run. We had water and junk in the front of us. We had water on the side, both sides, and we had a mess of junk in behind us. So we had no choice but to go on board. So these things got a hold of us, and I've always said they was robotic-looking. Charlie actually said the same thing. Because of the way they moved, they moved mechanical. And this is why I started calling them the big, ugly ones, because they were big and ugly. But they had, like, mittens or crab-like hands. If anybody knows what a crab's claws looked like, that's kind of what they favored. And they grabbed me by the left arm, and as soon as they did, I felt like an injection going into my arm. Well, that just kind of numbed me. I couldn't run then. I didn't want to run.
5:05 I think they'd give me some pretty good dope or something. But it kind of numbed me up, and they levitated us. Now, this is when I lost sight of Charlie. I didn't see Charlie until after we got back out. But they levitated me toward the door, and in my mind, I was wondering, now, where's all this light coming from? That was really amazing to me, but it was coming from the inside of the crowd. And I was kind of able to squinch my eyes and look around a little bit in there, and I noticed there weren't no light fixtures. It was coming, like, out of the walls, out of the paint. It was bright, though. So this thing kind of paused, and I thought about that a second. And he made a little left turn. Then he made a right turn. And he took me into this examination room, what I'm going to call it. I don't know what it was. Still don't. And he laid me on a, turned me around, laid
6:08 me back about a 45-degree angle. And that's just a guess. I didn't have nothing to measure. But he laid me on this table, and I still couldn't move. I was more or less paralyzed. That's when it got real strange. He backed up out of the way, and I kind of didn't really hear nothing, but out of the corner of my eye, I seen something coming toward me. Now, this is what I call the female. And I don't know if it's female or not. You know, it's hard to tell. The only thing I knew, I'd been to Bourbon Street enough and knew the difference between a male and a female, you know. And as she approached me, I did. I tried to look at her clothing and her build, and she just reminded me of a female. Now, her fingers, her hands was like ours, where the other one had crab-like hands. And her fingers, two middle fingers, were
7:09 just a little longer. Well, she walked over. I guess she walked. I didn't see her legs move, because all I could do was roll my eyes in my head and notice her. She'd come over toward us. And you've seen these commercials where these grandkids, grandmother pieced her cheek like that. She grabbed my cheek. I didn't feel any sensation at all. No warmth, no coldness, nothing coming out of her hands. And I still kind of thought that was strange, but I'm going to lay this on being doped up from the shot they gave me, which later on in the examination office, you know, the medical examiner proved that. And she grabbed me by the chin with one hand, and she pushed it down. And that's when I changed my attitude about her. I wasn't too afraid until then. But she run these two long fingers down my throat. And that little thing that hangs down in the
8:09 back, she tried to come up behind it into my nasal cavity. And later on, I found out she might have implanted something in there, because later on, you know, they tried to get it out. But that's when I started choking, and my nose started bleeding. And, I mean, I was getting scared then. And if I was able, if I could have moved, I would have put the fear in her right then, but I couldn't move. But then in another sense, she said in a calm voice, telepathically, and it was just like she was laying there talking to me in a real nice, calm voice. We're not going to harm you. And I thought, well, it's too late for that. She done bleed blood in my nose. She went behind my little hangy down in my throat and about ripped it out. I said, this is terrible, lady. And, you know, I was thinking back, and it was just like she was reading my mind. And I feel like she was, because we was communicating mentally.
9:10 And her voice mentally spoke really good redneck English. And, you know, so I know she had been around and tried to study us like that. Because, you know, in different parts of the country, you hear different languages. Like, I deal with a publisher from the U.K., and I can't understand the word that man says. I go to Louisiana, I can't understand them. I come up here to where the Yankees are, and I dang sure can't understand them. They don't even know what grits are. Her voice and what I'm trying to get at, the communication in her voice, it was soothing. It was like a down south voice, and it kind of calmed me down then, you know, to listen to it. I just felt like I was on a bad day then. So, when she pulled her fingers out, my nose was bleeding. It was bleeding hard.
10:10 My little thing that hangs down, it was just about pulled out. As a matter of fact, it swelled up the next day, they had to take me to the emergency room. And she pulled her hands out, and then she kind of backed up a little bit, and she made a little mumbling noise, like a oomph, like that. I didn't understand that. But when it did, that old big ugly one that was standing in the corner, apparently he did. He came over and grabbed me by the left arm again, and I felt the injection, like a shot or something. And I got calmed down again. I could care less. And that's when they picked me up. They levitated me back out to the pier that we was fishing on. Now, a lot of people think we were in a boat, but we was actually on a fishing pier. And that's when I, the first time I seen and heard Charlie when they got back out there. And it's a long story on him from there. But Charlie was on the ground. He said, son, son, you okay?
11:11 And I wanted to say, no, you idiot, I'm not okay, you know. I've just been abducted. It's just like somebody kicking the door down in your house and coming in and getting you and taking you out to their van and running their fingers down your throat. It was not a good experience for me. But I really don't think they meant a lot of harm. Okay. Now, commonly the creatures that you encountered are depicted as kind of having no face and these cones kind of coming out of each side of their head. Is that what you remember or is that Charlie's memory? That was Charlie's memory. After we got back the next day to the shipyard from work, there was an artist by the name of Larry Flynn sat down. And he said, what did y'all see? I said, I didn't see nothing. Why? Because I had told, we had talked about this. Charlie and I had talked about this. And we both agreed not to say nothing to nobody. But Charlie went and he told Keesler and the sheriff's department. But he described this creature to him.
12:14 And this artist drew it up. Now, we've seen two different things. Charlie got the basic build right. But I didn't see all these things sticking out on the face. And I figured they might have been antennas. But it's a good possibility it was. So, when you were back on the shore, is that when you decided to go to the sheriff or go to the police station to let them know what had happened to you? Well, to be honest with you, when we got back and was at the pier, Charlie and I sat down and talked just a few minutes. And Charlie says, well, we need to tell somebody. I said, tell somebody what, Charlie? We don't need to tell nobody nothing. I said, I'm getting married in a month. Her daddy will kill me. And I don't want to bring this publicity on me. I don't want to lose my job. I don't want to do this. He said, well, we got to tell somebody. So, we got in the car. And as I was driving us back to the apartment, he said, pull over right here.
13:15 They have a phone. And I need to use it in just a minute. I thought he was calling his wife. I didn't know who he was calling. Well, he come out and he said, they said to call the local authorities. I don't have another dime. Back in, you didn't have cell phones. We had pay phones. So, I said, why do you need another dime? Well, I called Keister Air Force Base. They said, call the local authorities. Now, I got to call the Jackson County Sheriff's Department. So, that's how they came into play on this deal. So, when you were brought, when you told your story at the police station, how was it taken? How did you feel they were? Well, when we first started, and we was still in the car in front of the store, they said, don't leave. Sit right there. So, I know they thought we was drinking or on dope or something. So, I took them at the word not to leave, and he said, we're going to send a car. They pulled a car up. They got me out of the car and left Charlie
14:17 sitting in the car. Well, they made me do a sobriety test to see if I was drinking. They said, look, stand up on one leg, bend your head back, touch your nose with your right hand, close your eyes, and count from 100 backwards. I said, man, I can't do that sober. So, why? They said, we just need to see if you can. So, we'd done that. Then, he held a flashlight, and he said, follow it with your eyes. And then, he got through. He said, look, you seem all right. Follow us to the sheriff's department. So, we followed him to the sheriff's department. He let me drive. That's how convinced he was that I was sober. Then, they made me blow on a balloon or something in there. And, I ain't never been so, had, I had good lungs back then, but it's hard to blow on one of them balloons you can't blow up. So, anyhow, that's how we ended up there. And so, when they left you all alone, I guess there was a, they tested you.
15:17 Right. And, and how did that come about, and what resulted? Well, they interrogated us separate to start with. They took Charlie into a room, me into a room. Then, they come out and got both of us, and they put us in the same room. Well, while we was in this room, they had no idea, or we had no idea there was a tape recorder there. And, by this time, I was getting scared, because I didn't like the law playing with me anyway. And, I didn't like what had happened to me, and they didn't seem to be taken as serious. So, Charlie and I were sitting in there talking. Matter of fact, I was a real religious person then. And, I said a little prayer, you know, God, please help me. You know, I don't know what went on, but give me the strength and the power to overcome all this. And, I felt like my prayers would be answered. Then, on the other end, I said, feels like I stepped on a damn rattlesnake, Charlie. And, that's how scared I was. Then, the sheriff came in, and I seen him
16:20 reach in a drawer, and he got this tape recorder out. And, they must have went back and listened to it. At this time, I still didn't know we was taped. Charlie didn't realize we had been taped. So, when they heard this tape, he come in, he said, Son, I know y'all been through a lot. I need to talk to you a little further. I want you to settle down, and I need to see y'all tomorrow. And, I said, okay, that's fine with me. I said, but look, let's make a deal. I know Charlie has told y'all what went on. When y'all was interrogating me, I said I didn't remember nothing. He said, well, look, I got evidence right here that you do remember something. I said, no, I don't. So, that's why I kept it quiet all these years. I didn't want everybody to know. Back in the 70s, there's two things you didn't talk about, politics and aliens.
17:20 So, that would get you in a lot of trouble. So, that's why I kept quiet all these years. And, Charlie took the upper road, you know, to go and do public speaking. And, now that he did, I'm glad he did, but it caused a lot of hard feelings between Charlie and I. I mean, I didn't talk to him for years. And, this was 1979? 1973. Oh, 73. October 11th, 1973, Pasapagoula, Mississippi. So, at that time, I mean, had you ever heard of the concept of alien abduction? People? No, sir. The only thing I remember watching, we got three channels on TV, ABC, NBC, and CBS, was when the Apollo mission was going on. And, I remembered, and that night when they picked me and Charlie up, you know, I remembered where they quarantined these beings. I knew this wasn't from this world, or didn't
18:23 think it was. And, I remembered them quarantined them from their families for seven days. And, that's why I begged Keesler, when they got a hold of us, and the sheriff's department, and anybody I could find, please lock me up. I don't want to kill my family and my friends or nobody else's family. Because, I just knew we had radiation or some kind of virus. And, they took me at my word. They, uh, they isolated us, took us to the hospital, Jackson County Hospital, did blood work, looked over the scars on my arm where it was ripped in two places where I got an injection. And, uh, said they couldn't find anything bacterial wrong with us. And, then, that's when the sheriff's department put us in the car and escorted us to Keesler Air Force Base for the radiation check. And, that was scary. We pulled up two Keesler, and these six guys
19:23 outside, they had hazmat suits on. And, you know, from a distance, these hazmat suits kind of looked about what I seen. I told him, I said, give me your gun, and I ain't going up there to these people. And, this deputy said, what do you mean? Are they just going to check you for radiation? I said, no, they ain't checking me. He said, yeah, you need to go in here. You might be contaminated, and we want to get you checked. And, then, he explained who it was and where we were. See, I'm from the backwoods. I didn't have a big education. I didn't know much about what went on. And, uh, to see stuff like this and to go through it, it just scared the living daylights out of you. But, they checked us for radiation, and I heard them say, all clear. And, then, they, when they said that, that's when they pulled their hazmat suits off. And, they said, they need to see you in the back. And, I just thought it would be two or three people to tell us about the radiation.
20:23 But, the room was a conference room like this, and it was full of Keesler Air Force Base officials, the local law enforcement, the mayors of every city on the Mississippi Gulf Coast. It was full of people, and they wanted to ask questions. I didn't want to answer questions, because by then, I was ready to have about a nervous breakdown. I done handled all this stuff I could handle, because I knew I had done messed up at my job, because the guy that owned the company, when we got back there that same day after this, he said, look, maybe y'all need to take a couple of weeks off. We can't conduct business here with this going on, because the news media won't leave us alone. Why don't y'all take off a couple of weeks, and we come in? Well, to me, when you take off a couple of weeks, that's just a nice way of firing you. And, we were so much in the media by then, that it would look really bad on him.
21:24 But, I have to say, he did furnish his own attorney for a press release, and Charlie gave the press release to him. I didn't say nothing about it. How quickly did the media get a hold of this story and make it a big headline thing? Well, we left the Sheriff's Department. I'm just guessing, because when you work in a shipyard with a hammer, you don't have a watch, because you tear it up. So, I'm guessing about 11 o'clock, we left the Sheriff's Department. We went back to Charlie's and got up and went to work the next morning, and when we got there, it was swamped. There was cars parked everywhere, even down the block of the road. That's how fast the word spread. Now, when this first happened, I thought maybe Charlie is the one that, and in a way, he was by telling everybody. But, I thought he was the one that might have broke it to the media. But, come to find out later, back then, people were really nosy. They had these police scanners, and they'd
22:26 listen to a police scanner, to the police department, the fire department, and the sheriff's department. That was the only entertainment they had. Then, everybody had party lines. We had nine people on our party line. You'd hear four or five different rings before you would answer it. You'd hear nine people picking up if they was at home. So, there was nothing private. I mean, people are just as nosy back then as they are now. And that really kills me sometimes. I've got a neighbor, you know, that he wanted to get nosy, and I had to break him of the habit. So. I won't get into what you did to break him in the habit, so you don't have any more law enforcement issues. Yeah. But, so Charles talked to the media. He did lectures, but you had a much different reaction. Yes, sir, I did. I took the upper road.
23:26 I took, it took me 45 years to open up and talk about this. And how this all begun, we had went to a wake and had a neighbor that had passed away. Well, in the neighborhood I'd been living, because of the press and the media, every now and then hunt me down, and they would change his story. I don't care what kind of interview you give, before you got too through with it, you went to another world or something. So, I just told my wife to never call me by my name. Why not? I said, oh, it's just a game I like playing. Don't call me by my name. I never talked to her about it. Never talked to my family about it. Never talked to my friends about it. And that's where I made the major mistakes in my life that I could see now, because it helps to get out and talk about it. But I had done a little show with Martin Willis, and he had my phone number and contact information.
24:27 And Philip Mantle had go to help, ask one day on Facebook or something, whatever they do, if anybody knew how to get a hold of me. And I was just ready at the time. My wife had been on my back, and you know how it is when your wife gets on her. You can't shut her up. All you can do is say, well, I'm going to do it tomorrow. And that's what I did, you know. I kept putting her off. I said, well, you know what, and I don't have an education. I'm not a writer. Maybe I'll find a ghost writer next year sometime, and we'll do this. Well, between her and Philip Mantle getting on my case, that's when I decided to do the book. And I'm glad I did. It's been a blessing. I've got to meet a lot of great people and have a lot of fun doing it. Martin Willis, by the way, is in the back here, actually helping us out with the conference. So you actually, because of all of the attention you all were getting, you just completely left town, right? I did.
25:29 After Dr. Heineck and Dr. Harder flew down the next day, they asked me if I'd stayed or they came. So Dr. Heineck came down, and Dr. John Allen Harder from the University of California. Both of them come down on their own dime. It wasn't a Project Blue Book that paid them, but it got his attention so much. And I think his son's even here today, that he came on his own dime and interviewed me. And I really appreciated that, but I still didn't want to talk to the man. He went out and got to site. And when he left, that's when I left and went home. He said, I don't know what happened to these guys, but something traumatic really happened to them. So how soon after that was it that you left town, and why? It was the next day. Well, one thing, I hadn't been in contact with none of my family, and I knew the publicity was out there. I knew the media had this.
26:30 I didn't want them to worry about me. The sheriff came to me and said that your mother has called to check on you. What do you want me to tell her? I said, good gracious, tell her I'm fine. Don't tell her nothing. She said, well, she's in a hotel in Pasapagoula. Well, at that time, I had the media stalking me. I had policemen stalking me and all to go there. So I didn't go to the motel. I didn't want her bothered at all, her and my brother. So I said, Sheriff Diamond, tell her I'm fine. I'm coming home tomorrow for her to go on back home, and I'll see her when I get there. Well, I didn't think the media knew where I lived, but they have their own ways. Back in, you know, it wasn't no social media. Nowadays, somebody can find you with a touch of a button, and they have. I have people camping out on my driveway at night sometime. Wake up. Are you Calvin Parker? No. You're Randy. Yeah.
27:30 They said, are you sure? I said, no, I am him. What do you need? I got a story I want to tell you. Okay. So you'll sit there, and some of them is so credible and so believable and so interesting that you want to talk to them. But some of them are too far out there for me. You know, you could tell somebody that's telling you the truth, and you can tell somebody that's shooting you a line of bull. Now I'll listen to somebody that my judgment tells me that they're being honest from the bottom of their heart. But if I have a doubt in them, and I got a pretty good judgment for somebody, you know, that can shoot the bull to you, because you can just tell these people I can. So you left Pascagoula, and did you ever return? I did. I moved back a few days before Katrina. In 2005, I worked in the oil field then, drifting around in Texas, Louisiana, Florida.
28:32 And I finally came back to Pascagoula, and I bought a construction company about a month before Hurricane Katrina, and we bought a house. And we just happened to lose our house and everything in Katrina. We had eight foot of water. Well, all my stuff that I had held back, my newspaper articles and all this, and some of Charlie's stuff that I had. I didn't really care nothing about it, but I was just keeping it in case it ever come up that my daughter or something wanted to know something about it. Because she never asked me, but if she had asked me, I would have sat down and told her the truth. Now, my wife never asked me, so I didn't see no need in opening up that can of worms. My mother and father never asked me. My brothers never asked me. My good friends, they knew it, but they never asked me. I had a certain group of friends. Most of them was Indians, and they all had businesses.
29:32 And we would fish together all through the summer and enjoy the summer together. Then during the winter, everybody would go their separate ways. But I've got to tell you about this bunch of friends. They were true friends. If you ever needed one of them for anything, they was there. They would come help you, and I would for them too. And they proved that many a times over that they would for me. Why do you think your family and friends did not ask you about it? They was concerned. When I got back to Laurel, my father, I was living with him then, me and my brother. He'd come over to stay with me. Worked for the Atomic Energy Commission, and he was stationed at all. Groom Lake, out in Area 51, where they drilled these holes and set these nuclear devices off in. But I stayed home, and I had a nervous breakdown one night. My brother got me up and took me to the hospital.
30:33 And nobody wanted to talk to me, you know, about this because they knew it would upset me. They knew I didn't want to talk to them about it. And Wynette's father, which was by the book, I mean, he's one of these Bible-slanning Baptists almost. And I didn't want him to know. And so nobody ever bothered. They never got into my life with it. Now, a lot of people's approached me about it, but it was the media mostly. But the local people and all pretty much left me alone to hear lately. So after all of these years, and now that, you know, alien abduction is something that many people, thousands of people are reporting to have experienced, what are your thoughts as to what happened to you? Well, to start with, when this happened that night, I really didn't know what happened, I'll be honest. I thought two or three old rednecks that worked at the shipyard might have got into a new experimental craft,
31:35 come down there and picked us up and had a good laugh, then went back and had a beer in a bar somewhere. But after this, and after 1993, when I met Bud Hopkins and he did that regress hypnosis and all, I knew better. But I've always felt in my heart it wasn't from this world. I never thought that it was real evil, but I never thought it was real good. You know, it's kind of like a human race experimenting on animals. I don't believe in that. I think they came down, they just pick a few and they experiment real. And then when it's over, it's over, you know. They just cast you away. Do you think there would ever be a period of time in the future where your family or others can feel more comfortable talking about this sort of thing? I feel like it's getting there really quick. I think everybody is starting to realize that, you know,
32:36 it's a lot of truth to all this and there's more facts and documents coming out on it every day that really prove the point. So yeah, I think in the near future, you know, this would be a good open subject and it, you know, even the government, I think, is going to open up to it. All right. Well, let's start to take some questions from the audience. So if you do have a question, please come to the microphone that's just right here in the front. All right. Yes, sir. First of all, I want to say thanks for telling your story. I know that it's caused a lot of difficulties in your life, but I think it's important for people like you to let the world know what happened because that's the only way that our understanding of some of these things could possibly advance. Well, thank y'all for being here and thank UFO Congress
33:37 for having me. I mean, without these conferences and all, nobody would really ever know. I have a few more questions. I don't have time to ask you, but can you describe it a little more? Let's start with a light, say, with a brilliant light that was a blue light or a pure light or what color it was and a doorway. Could you make any outlines of the ship before you sign the doorway? The last thing I'll ask is this email thing. Can you describe more what it looked like? I could. Well, to start with, it was hazy blue light, kind of like on the top of the patrol car or the police cars. I don't know how they are down here, but back home, you know, they're kind of blue, but they're soft, but they're harsh, too. And then that just disappeared for a bright light, and that's when the door opened on the crowd.
34:37 It was like a spotlight just shined on us. And I don't know if it's for their protection or, you know, so they could see us or not. I don't even know if they could see. And as far as the female alien, somebody asked me about that one time, and that's like I told them, you know, it didn't look like since I've really got into this, I've looked at pictures all over this, and I've never seen one that really looked like she did. I explained it to one time in a conference that if I'd been in a bar drinking and had enough drinks, I would have tried to pick her up and go on a date with her or something, you know. So that's how human-looking she looked. And I think they do that to keep from really scaring you. I believe I can look anything like they want to look like. Yes, sir. Yeah, I'd like to thank you for coming, Mr. Parker. This might sound like a silly question, but my curiosity has got me.
35:37 I can see in your hat it says don't fish. I was wondering what the punchline or what's on your hat exactly. Well, it's just... Let me tell you the story behind this hat. It's my good-look hat. My wife and son was in a flea market, and they bought it for 99 cents. Well, my son brought it to me. He told me, this is your good-look hat. Well, four or five days later, he died of a drug overdose. I'm just being honest with you. And I hadn't really had this hat off my head that much since then. I think it's more my way of dealing with it, wearing this good-look hat than anything. I remember I was fishing one time, running about 60 in a boat that blew off. I forgot I was the one driving the boat, and I just dove overboard and swim and got it. My boat run up on the bank over there. True story. So this is how much that hat meant to me. Yes, ma'am. I was leaving Florida
36:39 on my way to New Orleans and on Route 10, and I had received a notice in the mail before I left Florida about a seminar in Mississippi, and that's where I heard Charlie speak, and I think it was only either a one-day or a two-day seminar. I was just there for one day, I know, and he mentioned that the aliens gave him a stone to keep in his pocket and that when it got warm, he was to meet them at a preordained place. And do you know if that happened? Do you follow up with other meetings? Well, you know, I had heard him tell that story, and I've actually seen the stone, and I actually know where the stone come from, but I don't know that if he rubbed it, if it got hot or if he meant them. I tried to get him to rub it one day when I was there, and he wouldn't. So, you know,
37:40 I don't know anything about that. Charlie is mostly, basically, a pretty honest person. So if he said something like that, it's probably a lot of truth to it. I admired Charlie in a lot of ways and known him since I was six years old. He fished with my father for a long time. You know, he fought in Korea. And I give him great commands for that, any veteran. You know, I do. But sometime, Charlie could get off somewhere in a place I didn't want to go. I want to say, it's an honor to have you here, and I 100% believe your story. And I have to remember when I was 20 years old, and I was going to college in Philadelphia, and I read the story and, you know, it was a world famous thing and I said to all my friends and so on, this is a true story and I know this is real and so I think you may have inspired many people to study UFOs
38:41 because of your story. It's an interesting thing, though. You also became the poster boy. This is not a negative thing for every comedian to say, how come they always find the UFO with two guys fishing in a place and two old boys fishing in Louisiana or something. You know, they always used you as the brunt of the joke, but I know what you say is true. It is. I wouldn't intentionally get up and lie to nobody. If I tell somebody something, you know, it's coming from my heart, it's not because I'm sitting up here dreaming it. Now, they might have put something in my mind. I've always said I don't know who they were or where they were and I was always careful when I was hypnotized and when Bud Hopkins did that, matter of fact, I went in 93 and let Bud Hopkins hypnotize me. It was just a freaky thing. I had some missing time I was concerned about. Well, when he went in to do it, I had a good friend
39:41 and he actually invented the manogram to detect breast cancer in women. So he was very intelligent. So I said, you go get Bud and bring him in and let me talk to him. And I just, well, Bud knew me. I didn't want to go in there where he was speaking. He said, y'all go to my room and when he come back, he said, can I hypnotize you? I said, here's the deal. I've been to Las Vegas. and watch these floor shows. I ain't going to get up and jump up and down like an idiot and do stuff like I do. I said, I got a ball back in my car and I'm going to hand this to my friend here. And if you make me do stupid things or put something in my head that ain't right, he's going to bash your brains out with him and hand me the ball back and leave. And I just felt that way and Bud was really sincere. Debbie Jordan's here somewhere. She can tell you she was there. But that's how sincere I was about putting stuff in my head and it worked out really good.
40:42 He did put a post-sync night and a suggestion in my head that took a lot of the fear away from what I felt and I appreciate him for that. Well, thank you for coming. Thank you for having me. Thank you all for coming. Thank you for coming. Another question that hasn't been asked. Has anybody who has fished on the period that you and Charlie have fished have come up with a similar experience but they haven't come out of the closet yet? Yes, sir. They've been... If you go back into papers and I just found this out myself about two months ago in 1895 it's documented in the newspaper same place we was fishing except the shipyard wasn't there there was some flybys that the whole community 300 people seen and they did interviews
41:43 with them. The paper did. this was in 1895. This was in 1895. Well, that same night we had people that actually seen this that was witnesses to all this and good credible witness. We had a probation officer had a Baptist preacher now I don't know how good a witness he is credible witness he was and we had a drunk and then the law enforcement there was some law enforcement that were witnesses and a lot of these witnesses are just now coming out and matter of fact we've had to do a second book we were just going to do an extension on this but the second book is a lot more interesting to me because it tells about all the eyewitness encounters it tells about the other stuff that been through it's documented facts and in the first book we tried to put eyewitnesses
42:43 to polygraph tests voice stress tests and testimonies from different neighbors that seen different things at night but I feel like it's been a lot more that's coming forward with it yes sir thank you I'm so glad that you came forward and decided to come out and tell the story it really is very important and I've heard you speak before but the one thing that might add I think a bit as far as evidence concerns your car which you didn't talk about this time as I understand there were some strange things that happened to your car which is kind of common among people that have these close encounters could you describe that a bit yes sir I had a 1973 Rambo Hornet less than 10,000 miles on it I mean I was still making notes on this car well when we got to the car the first thing I noticed it looked like the window was cracked on the passenger side
43:45 well Charlie opened it and he just fell out both the windows on the passenger side which was facing the crowd was cracked and that's documented with the sheriff department documents and I was explained the reason it didn't break and fall all the way up safety glass it has that plastic in it until we opened the door it didn't fall the next thing the car didn't crank and run right that night now it did crank eventually I wound on the battery and I cranked on the battery and you would think that it would run it down them older batteries wouldn't turn it over but a few times but the battery stayed good and charged then the next thing it was magnetic on the hood the very hood of it you could throw paper clips out there because I remember them getting a bottle some bottle caps from the old Coke bottles and they sitting around when I got there the next day
44:45 and they was throwing them out there and they sticking to the car now I wish I could find the guy I think it was with the Mississippi Press that took a picture of that I've been hunting that article but to make a long story short I drove that car back home when I finally made it home and I had to work on it before I got it there I parked it in my brother-in-law's pasture and believe it or not just last year he had that car crushed to get it out of the way I'd give anything if I still had it thanks again great story my wife has a story about when we was going down the road now again this is a new car and y'all can ask her the windshield wipers went out it was raining so I had a roll of string I got out and tied a string on this on that and she pulled it that way and I pulled it that's when the car got jumped so Martin and Philip
45:46 got a hold of you and Philip talked you into working on the book with him and so you promised Philip I guess that you would come out and start to talk at some of these conferences how have you felt what's it been like to talk about your story so many years later well like this is the first time I've had like a question and answer thing and been interviewed on the stage and I love it it gives everybody a chance to ask a few questions and all but I have enjoyed going out and giving little the little talks I felt neglected short on time on some of them because I've had people come up and say well you got an hour and a half here I said is that all you know because I could fill up three hours we so but I've enjoyed it but I I felt I felt this is something that needed to be done
46:47 this is something that needs to be out there because sooner or later we're going to have to deal with this as a human race and you take it with a grain of salt it could either be bad or good and I try to approach this with a little bit of humor because I don't want to look at the bad side of it people say I've heard some people say oh I wish it was me I said I wish it was you too I wouldn't be going through this so but it's going to be a force to be dealt with sooner or later so were you nervous about did you what were your expectations were you a little worried about coming out to talk to this about this especially to live audiences oh no huh one thing when I was younger I wanted to be a preacher I would practice for hours I'd go to churches I'd give little sermons
47:47 and all I'd give them straight out of the Bible because I don't like to get off that so I was used to being around crowds they had an event they'd call on me to pray or talk but after this happened to me and I had to go to work got married and had to go to work make a living the preacher thing was at the door and I knew everybody would know me and who would believe someone that wanted to sit down and take the Bible and literally read it to you or preach to you from it I mean I would and I still get a lot out of the Bible but anyhow that's why I don't have trouble with the crowd plus I'll add a little humor in there when I can sometime just to break up you can look out and tell when people say I'll be glad when he shuts up you know because I've done the same thing be sitting up here and say God when is this going to be over with and I've been bored so I try not
48:47 to bore anybody I want to keep everybody enthusiastic about this because it's a very important matter to me if I didn't feel like it was important I wouldn't care care my living's made and as I told Alejandro earlier everybody's got an expiration date and I want to get the story out there before mine expires so if someone were to come to you now and say you know I had a similar experience years ago would you advise them to talk about it or would you advise them to keep it quiet I would advise them to go to a therapist first and talk about it and see how they're going to deal with this a lot of people can't deal with it I've seen grown men sit down in my living room that you think was tough as nails sit there and cry because they
49:47 had some kind of experience and they didn't know how to handle it and I had for instance I had a biker from a bandido motorcycle game come up a few months ago and he was telling me all about it now how these people find me I don't know I guess but they do and he sat down and got up and I finally had to say look be a man get up and before I had to beat you senseless get up you handled this like a man and talked to me about this because this is life this is something you're going to have to deal with so he did he got up and left I guess I hurt his feelings some people aren't ready but of course you were in a similar state when you were younger exactly I mean how much it must have been a lot to leave your hometown
50:47 for good practice there for many years it was and there's been nights that I lay in bed and I shake and I cry I'll be honest with you you know women say that you don't show you emotions I've shown my emotions many a times I've been scared nervous feared for my family my mother lived in Nevisfield Mississippi and they had a big ranch there and well this is in that book too and one night her and my brother was at home and they heard the dogs barking well they opened the back door and they looked and all the cattle had run to the back of the field and she seen something said all I could say is Calvin's not here Calvin's I said we're good you didn't tell them where I was did you you know so she said but it scared me so bad but that's another reason I didn't
51:47 want my family upset and my wife she couldn't have handled it you know so I just kept her clear my daughter I didn't want to put her through that she's very sweet very intelligent she married a dentist she's a dental hygienist they have a good practice well I don't want nobody saying well your daddy's a nut that goes over there so but when I came public she just had to deal with it because I feel like it's that important now you said that you felt that the intentions especially of the female creature didn't seem to be malicious at all but at the same time they're doing some pretty scary stuff to you they were and it's like I kind of said like we used to experiment on animals and all you know the people thought that was okay back a long time ago but what they didn't know these little animals had feelings just like
52:47 them experimenting on us they might say well you know it's okay they're not one of us and but humans have feelings too and everybody needs to reach down and appreciate everybody's feelings and take care of them so for instance when you take the dog to the vet you know I take my dog to the vet the vet is doing his thing and the dog's looking at me like whoa but of course I have a lot of love for the dog did you feel any sort of compassion toward you no I felt no feelings whatsoever matter of fact a lot came out in a hypnosis with Bud Hopkins me and this female actually got into a physical confrontation because she was there to kill me I knew that and I finally
53:47 come out of it and we actually physically got into it and I had DNA evidence on my shirt like an idiot I washed it but there was actual blood come in 93 where I feel like she was going to take an implant or something out that she had put in there because right after this happened in 73 I had frequent nosebleeds and I didn't understand it I'd go to the doctor and I'd just about bleed down well none of them had enough sense to x-ray or look up your nose or nothing so you know I just accepted that that's just my health so so you had a follow-up experience I did in 1993 and that's why I decided to go to Bud Hopkins and it wasn't my ideal to go there but I went fishing on Cat Island and I told my wife I said
54:48 look I'll be back before dark because after that I didn't fish after dark I said I'll be back before it gets dark but I'm gonna get the boat I'm gonna run out to the island fish two or three hours and I'll see you before it gets dark well I got my boat I shagged out to the island well I was hungry and this is the only misquote in the book that Philip had I eat a bologna sandwich he called it a blondie sandwich now what that is I don't know but I sat there eating a bologna sandwich and this was probably 11 1130 in the daytime 3 o'clock at night or the next morning when I got back to my truck it was dark I woke up I said well where am I I must have fell asleep well when I got back to my truck the next morning it was 3 a.m. and I thought gosh what happened to all this time here so I took the boat I hooked
55:48 in I went home well I didn't unload my cooler or nothing because I didn't see any need to there wasn't nothing but ice and water in it and I told this friend of mine I said look I went fishing this is I got some missing time he said well did you catch any fish honest to God truth he said that I said no I didn't catch nothing we were standing by the boat and he was going to get some water and opened it up the cooler was full of fish I mean full I've never caught that many fish in my life I'm glad the wildlife the fisher didn't stop me I've been in jail to the day so he said this cooler is full of fish I said no you're crazy I ain't caught a fish so it was I thought somebody played a really bad joke on me but I liked him giving me the fish that I was scared to eat then or something bad happened and that's how I ended up
56:49 in Florida with Bud Hopkins Debbie Jordan and my two friends Debbie of course will be presenting later at this conference but a lot of scary things happen to you when you go fishing oh yeah it's almost winged me have you ever considered quitting fishing never matter of fact I'm working on my houseboat now it's almost ready I'm going to put my other boat on it and I'm going to push it out in that marsh and I'm going off grid for a while and but I will tell you Rebecca Davis had a book signing for me at Paspergula well part of the signing she said can I sell raffles for someone to go fishing with you I said absolutely I'll be glad to take somebody fishing they don't have that many a raffle ticket sold to go fishing $40 a piece to raise money for the city and all
57:49 we've got time for the thing first pull her well I'm not going out there with him I'm scared next one I can't make it today I'm sorry she called 10 different people and nobody wanted to go but I get up at one o'clock in the morning I go out there and get on my boat and I leave and I might be gone till that next night that's just how much I enjoy but it's my getaway it's my space I go out nobody's around or nothing it's nothing but a big beautiful sky it's just me and the good lord out there I hope and enjoy myself besides the incident in 1993 have you had any other occurrences no I hadn't it's all I can do to keep up with this one do you know has anybody in your family
58:50 now they say they hadn't but you know we really never talk about it Linda Moulton Howard had an interview with me and she brought up daddy working for the atomic energy commission and she got to doing some research on it out in Groom Lake in early 51 and she says well I feel like this could be I said no I don't think so you know and I'm not going to talk about it because the FBI come around and did background checks on us and told us for him nor his family to talk about anything it went on and I said I'm not going to talk about it because I think that's treason I mean I love my country even though it's not run right I don't agree with everything going on but I do love the United States some of the best fishing in the world there's a question okay yes oh I'm sorry I didn't notice please come up we're just queued up Mr. Parker
59:50 thank you for coming and sharing with us you're probably welcome could you clarify and I haven't had a chance to read your book but it sounds like you were given an implant upon the initial abduction in 73 and that maybe it was taken out in 93 during that time when you had it in there presumably did you have it checked or anything to see if there was something there well you know back in they really didn't believe too much that you said now Bud Hopkins feel like I did now what he knows I don't know I only met the man for one day but he's highly thought of he's and Stan Freeman you know I had two or three interviews with him and they seemed like to think that there might have been an implant there and when this you know 93 after me and her really got into that physical thing my nose
1:00:50 stopped bleeding after that after I got through with that old big ugly wouldn't beat me but it's been a unique hard ride absolutely thank you thank y'all sorry thanks unfortunately I had missed quite a bit of this today so I don't know if you've already addressed it but I grew up in New Albany Mississippi and I remember quite a bit about this and wasn't there something about somebody relative suing one of the adoptees I just have a memory of that that there was some type of lawsuit that somebody relative sued one of y'all well you know it turned the coast upside down the Mississippi Gulf Coast
1:01:50 they even passed a law in Ocean Springs the board of Ottoman that you couldn't have UFOs on the streets and all that that's how wild it got and then there was this cab driver that lost his job because the man went to sleep in a car and he said he got abducted by an alien and all this stuff went on so I'm sure you know people might have wanted to sue but you know I've never been sued 因為 they couldn't find me yeah well as a another person from Mississippi I just Charles Hickson yeah I just want to tell you that I'm very sorry about the ridicule you got back then well I tell you it's been a joy being around this crowd hi thanks for coming I also haven't read your book but earlier in the interview you mentioned
1:02:50 that a doctor had checked it out and I couldn't hear if you said he proved you weren't on drugs or he proved that you were drugged did I hear that correctly well it's they did blood work and they proved that I was injected with something okay now during the hurricane all the records you know people didn't have computers in and they backed it up with hard copies on paper and they all got underwater 80% of the Mississippi Gulf Coast did but in this new book that I'm doing it's actually got the doctor that did the examination he's still alive Dr. Bosco he's 96 years old now his grandson came to a function that I was doing in Pascagoula said my granddad wants to see you will you go see him I said why absolutely so I went to see him and he was trying to talk and it was so weak but he had actual documentation at his
1:03:50 house that we trying to get our hands on to see what this was and all but you know it wasn't nothing like opinoids or whatever they call this stuff today it was I was tranquilized thank you you're welcome thanks I also had a clarification question about whether or not you really ever had an x-ray on this item that was probably behind your nose or in the center of your skull as far as I know I never had an x-ray now when I had a stroke in 2012 but this is after I think they took it out they did that MRI all over my body and was searching they couldn't find nothing in thank you for your bravery Philip Mantua has been sharing online that there are some other witnesses to your encounter that I've stepped forward can you share
1:04:50 some information about that right there's many witnesses that come forward the first when it came out she didn't want to talk about it it was by mistake that we found her she her daughter was doing a thing said they seen me on Fox News and her daughter Miss Blair's daughter wrote a deal in there and it wasn't Maria Blair the one that came out well my mother seen that my father well Philip's like a bloodhound when he gets on something he's going hunting so he actually got her phone number and interviewed her before I did and come to find out that you know that was the case Maria Blair had been there I hear that Maria Blair had been there and witnessed this and I had to take up for her somebody said well she's after publicity of this this five minutes of pain I said no she didn't
1:05:51 come to us we had to track her down literally we had to pay money to find her and we found and this is where we got the testimony from well after that came forward Philip put an article in Facebook and everybody and her brother has a Facebook page now and it's been seven more eyewitnesses that came forward that's real legitimate and believable there's one I didn't so much believe and I'm not calling her name because she would come beat me to death but the rest of them I really believe and I've done my own research on them I did a background research myself and the reason I wanted to research them is see how credible they were if they wasn't credible to me then they wasn't going in this next book I can promise you that and these people haven't got a penny for doing it they're kind of like me they're doing this for nothing oh no everybody thinks it's
1:06:51 big money and writing books don't believe that so what sort of things have the witnesses described seeing one lady was across the river and she actually seen the craft land and the doors opened up the bright light and she sat there her and her husband and timed it and the length of time and that's where the sheriff department got pretty much a baseline on it now a lot of these come out in the sheriff department or the police back then but we're just now getting around to finding them and there's another one that's just credible to me and it's one that come out in hypnosis this couple back in was parked just below where this happened what Charlie and I noticed the car going in and back then teenagers they didn't
1:07:52 go get motel rooms or something they just parked and looked at the sky or whatever they did well this car was there and when we left I actually under hypnosis brought out the tag number on the car and this come out with Bud Hopkins so we researched the tag number I got some friends in law enforcement and they found out whose car this belongs to I took time to look these people up and he had just passed away this couple actually got married she's in a nursing home now had kind of like a mini stroke like I did so she's in a nursing home and he passed away and she was telling me the best she could and she begged me please don't tell nobody where I am or my name so I promised her and give her my word I wouldn't do that but you know who that helped
1:08:52 it helped me it clarified a lot of what I thought and then we had some people from the Rolling Stones magazine said well you didn't see nothing because the cameras from the shipyard didn't pick them up I said well you idiot that was an abandoned shipyard and they didn't have cameras back in like they do now there's not a block you can go on without a camera but there's no cameras back then I promise you that and I got the shipyard to write him a letter plus I got the sheriff's department to go out and investigate it and write a follow up letter because just the trouble that they took to tell a big lie so you have said that your UFO conference speaking career is a short one it is and in fact is this your last or are you doing this is most likely my last one my health
1:09:54 fitting really up to where it's supposed to be I got some blood work to come up back maybe again if I get invited sometime to one I might go you know but it just depends on my health now because it's failing real fast I'm weak and I noticed just walking down there to Chick-fil-A a while ago I'd like not to make it back no so and oh did you have more no go ahead so and from what I understand from here you're going to go fishing I'm going fishing I've always said in October my houseboat's going to be ready I'm going off grid now I did promise they're working on a screenplay for a movie that the screenplay writer's going to be back tonight he's sent five to me now for a movie I've tore every one of them up and thrown it with a guy that is hiring this guy to do it he said you can't keep doing that I said all the man's
1:10:55 got to do is get the facts right it's in the book it's black and white so I got one more screenplay to look at if it goes through I'm going to prove it and if they want to do a movie I've agreed to be a what do they call it consultant or producer a consultant on the movie for one reason to be sure the facts is right in the movie I don't want to put some up there with my name on it where the facts aren't right great well thank you very much it's been an absolute pleasure talking to you and everybody help me thank it's been a pleasure being here thank y'all for being here I've enjoyed it
