Liliane Silva

Also known as Liliane, Liliane Fátima Silva

On 20 January 1996, aged 16, she was walking home with her sister Valquíria and their friend Kátia Xavier when she saw a creature crouching under graffiti on a wall in Jardim Andere, Varginha. She is now a pre-school teacher.

She is a civilian witness, filed outside the archive's criteria; her account is the core of the case, and the Brazilian Army's 1997 inquiry judged that what the three women saw was most likely a local man crouched in the rain.
