James Comer, a Republican U.S. Representative from Kentucky, chairs the House Oversight Committee. On 11 February 2025 he created the Task Force on the Declassification of Federal Secrets, chaired by Rep. Anna Paulina Luna, whose remit includes UAP. He has said he wants to hold a further UAP hearing in November 2026 after a planned September hearing fell through.
