Pretoria–Bronkhorstspruit road sighting
On 17 September 1965, two South African Police constables on patrol, John Locken and Koos de Klerk, said they saw a disc-shaped object rise from the road between Pretoria and Bronkhorstspruit. Investigators later reportedly found a scorched circle about 3 metres across, and part of the road surface had collapsed.
The officers' account and the reported road damage are the main evidence; no official conclusion is recorded in the sources found.
