A phone video of 2 minutes 43 seconds taken at about 5 a.m. in November 2021 in a sparsely populated part of the northeastern United States, by a witness the FBI assesses as “highly credible”; released as FBI-UAP-PR001 in PURSUE release 03. The FBI links it, PR002 and PR003 and its reports D004–D008 to the same general area.

Key moments

  1. 0:00 A hand-held phone video before dawn: a bright point of light near the horizon, at about 0:03 (frames). The witness told the FBI it first looked like one intense light, before “resolving into multiple lights exhibiting erratic rotational motion relative to one another”, drifting slowly left to right.
  2. 0:28 The light comes back into view after the camera moves off it; the shaking is the hand-held phone, as the FBI notes (frames).
  3. 1:18 For most of the next minute faint points of light are visible again near the centre (frames).
