DOW-UAP-PR051 — “Syrian UAP instant acceleration”, an edited video

Department of War / AARO (DVIDS) · 2021 · 5 min · Watch the original

A five-minute video from CENTCOM's area over Syria in 2021, edited by someone before its upload to a classified network in June 2024: an excerpt, enhanced replays, then the original. Item 2 of the House Oversight Task Force letter, released as PR051 in PURSUE release 02. When a tracking sensor stops panning, a distant object can appear to dart out of frame; the record makes no assessment.

Source: Department of War / AARO, PURSUE, via DVIDS. Moments follow AARO's timecoded description, checked against the frames; silent sensor footage, no transcript.

Key moments

  1. 0:01 The sensor keeps an area of contrast centred (AARO).
  2. 0:20 The sensor stops tracking, and the object “rapidly” exits the right side of the frame (AARO): the moment the uploader's title calls instant acceleration. The video replays it at the end, from 4:29.
  3. 0:27 Title cards follow: “white edge threshold enhancement in attempt to highlight UAP shape”, then replays at 50% and 25% speed and with inverted values. AARO notes the video was “digitally altered prior to its upload”.
  4. 2:04 A card, “full original clip TRT: 2:52”, then the unaltered footage at far zoom; from 4:03 the sensor zooms in and locks a reticle around the object (AARO).
