A. K. Antony was India's Defence Minister from 2006 to 2014. When Indian border personnel reported luminous objects over Ladakh, he told the Lok Sabha in November 2012 that there was "no conclusive proof" of UFOs. Astronomers sent to the area later attributed the lights to Jupiter and Venus, according to press reports.
