Also known as Huningue 1980
An evening sighting near the Swiss border in 1980 by two walkers, one of them an aircraft flight engineer, of a silver domed object hovering low for six minutes before climbing into the clouds in steps. Basel-Mulhouse airport logged a radar echo too mixed with other traffic to confirm it. No other witnesses were found, in France or across the German border.
