San Clemente / El Enladrillado (Chile)

San Clemente, in Chile's Maule Region, is known for reports of UFO sightings: more than a hundred have been reported around the town since 1995. In 2008 the municipality and Chile's tourism service launched a 30 km "UFO route", which includes the El Enladrillado plateau, a flat basalt formation in the Andes.
Specialists from CEFAA, Chile's official UAP committee, have suggested that some of the sightings could be military aircraft on secret manoeuvres or boats reflecting their lights.
