Facts and claims
- claimed At about 7.30 am on 7 September 1954, in clear weather, two men cycling to work saw a circular object on the ground in a field 200 m from the road, rocking; they described a dark cylinder with a slightly domed top and an opening around it. When they approached to about 100 m it rose silently, obliquely then vertically, trailing grey-blue smoke from a pipe, and disappeared after four to five minutes. Source: cnes-geipan.fr (archived)
