Project Blue Book case file: Port Lyautey, French Morocco, August 1952
The Project Blue Book file on the sightings of 6 and 7 August 1952 at the U.S. Naval Air Facility, Port Lyautey (now Kenitra), French Morocco, filed in the National Archives' sanitized Blue Book case files under the title Port Lyantey, French Morocco, August 1952 (microfilm T1206, roll 14). The case occupies the first six pages of that file unit: the record card and the Office of Naval Intelligence information report 1-R-52 with the statements of Lt. C. B. Green, Lt. D. M. Dobos and Lt. W. Foster of Air Transport Squadron 24 (VR-24). The sketches, cockpit diagram and weather data listed as enclosures are not in the scanned file. The rest of the NARA file unit belongs to other cases (a stone-like object submitted by a Navy reserve commander, analysed as furnace slag, and an 8 August 1952 sighting at F. E. Warren AFB, Wyoming) and is not included in our copy.
Our copy was assembled from NARA's page images; the typed pages are faint, so each has a transcription made from the scan above its OCR.
