Mussolini e gli UFO ("Mussolini and the UFOs", Idea Libri, 2001) is the book in which the Italian researchers Roberto Pinotti and Alfredo Lissoni set out the documents they say they received anonymously in 1996: papers describing a craft that crashed near Magenta, Lombardy, in 1933, and a secret study group, "Gabinetto RS/33", under Guglielmo Marconi, set up by Mussolini's government to examine it. If genuine, it would be the earliest crash-retrieval case on record.
The documents have never been independently authenticated, their origin is unknown, and other Italian researchers dispute them; Pinotti cites a forensic test of one sheet in their favour. The book is the authors' presentation of the case.
